Welcome to Federal Capital Territory Water Board
Federal Capital Territory Water Board is the sole agency responsible for the production and supply of potable water in the FCT. It was established in October 1989 with the primary mandate of providing potable water of adequate quantity and quality at equitable rates to the residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
From inception in 1976 water supply in the city was managed by a sub-directorate in the Department of Engineering Services of the Federal Capital Development Authority FCDA until the inauguration of the Federal Capital Territory Water Board 13 years after. In a capsule, the Board has the responsibility of providing healthy and adequate water for human consumption and industrial uses in the Federal Capital Territory.
